CLAY TILE NATURAL RED NATURAL BEAUTY
Sometimes smooth, sometimes rough, combed, brushed or even flamed: the surface texture gives natural-looking tiles
their special characteristics. This accurately reflects the individual hue that appears during firing.
DURABLE AND ELEGANT
It’s the matte shimmer, subtle play of color that creates this elegant impression. Engop gives ceramic products a special aesthetic. These are applied to the unfired tile in a complex process and then fired at a temperature of 1,000 degrees.
UNIQUE COLOR GAME
Whether it’s a historical building or a creative project of a private owner, KILIÇOĞLU always has the right solution and harmonious color.
COLORFUL BEAUTY THROUGHOUT
It extends to the nucleus. Fine, pure quality clays are ground into bone dry powder and mixed with color pigments. Precisely controlled moistening results
in a clay with a practically fine ceramic quality.
RAW MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION CLAY TILE ROOF - PERFECT RAW MATERIAL FOR ROOFING
A NATURAL PRODUCT TOTALLY FREE OF CHEMICALS
Crystalline rocks such as clay and granite are formed in the weather. Therefore, it is a truly natural material. However, such clays are not suitable for tile production as they shrink and form cracks when dry. Therefore, it is mixed with loam. Chemicals? Unnecessary. The red color characteristic of clay tiles emerges during the firing process due to its high iron content.
FROM FLOOR TO ROOF
Clay is extracted directly from the soil. It is initially stored in huge storage ponds and irrigated before further processing. He stays here for about two weeks. It then enters the pan mill. Iron wheels weighing many tons grind the clay lumps into a smooth mass that is then compacted. Clay can now be molded, pressed and straightened. After drying, the surface treatment – glaze or primer – is applied. It then enters the furnace and finally goes to quality control.
